Microsoft's Web site is the company's most important marketing vehicle, providing product information, downloads, and news for hundreds of products. Microsoft frequently uses "Web tours," online marketing brochures that promote the key features and capabilities of new products. I worked with Landor Associates to craft Web tours for 15 programs in the Microsoft Office XP and Office 2003 systems.

As Editor of Amazon.com's Video Games department, I helped define the customer experience one of the highest-volume video game resellers on the Web. Before
the site launched, I worked with the development staff to create
content areas and pre-populate the site with product descriptions and
reviews. After launch, I managed the promotional content for nearly
2,000 video game products.
In addition to managing a team of freelance
writers, I penned hundreds of product reviews, feature articles, and interviews (my conversation with horror author Clive Barker
generated quite a buzz amongst his fanbase).
After leaving Amazon.com, I continued contibuting reviews for the PC and Video Games store and Software department.

As Web Content Manager at Sierra Entertainment, I made sure that customers got a sense of the strong community, helping to convert visits to revenue at, for the time, the highest-volume online store for a game publisher.
In addition, I wrote feature articles for Interaction (1) (2) (3), the company's quarterly magazine (circulation exceeded 1million!).
